Demi Lovato had alcohol and drug issues that lead to rehah?

(HMG Celebrity News) – When the original announcement came out that Demi Lovato was heading to rehab, I knew there was going to be a lot of side stories.  There was the Joe Jonas breakup caused Demi to go off the deep-end angle. The fight with one of her female dancers was the last straw, which is probably true.  And Demi had perhaps fallen back to her alleged history of eating issues and cutting.   But now Life & Style sources claim that (cover your ears Mickey) the Disney star was also drinking and using drugs.  Supposed insiders told L & S (via HuffPro) that her downward spiral after the breakup with Joe lead to heavy drinking: “Demi had been on a tear lately: “She’ll chug booze straight from the bottle.”  And if that’s not bad enough, another source claims Demi was a cocaine user.  A Texas college student clearly remembers the night he spent hanging with Demi in North Richland Hills, Texas, where he saw her firsthand doing cocaine at a mutual friend’s house party on Dec. 28 last year:

“She was doing line after line like a pro – and she was 17 at the time,” he tells Life & Style, recalling the wild party they attended after a concert by the band Neon Indian at the Granada Theater in Dallas. “I just remember her doing it as if she had been doing it for a long time. It didn’t seem like something new to her.”

Life & Style claims that when Demi’s mother and stepfather heard that she had punched a tour backup dancer in the face, they freaked out and were quick to take action:

“They heard Demi was drinking, but the news that her partying was getting out of control shocked them – and they confronted her immediately.”
