Brittany Murphy’s Mom Writing Tell-All Book

(HMG Celebrity News) – Having been a first hand witness to two almost identical family tragedies this past year,  Brittany Murphy’s mom is penning a tell-all book about her daughter’s life. Sharon Murphy wants to honor her daughter’s memory and that of her husband Simon Monjack, who died five months later also from pneumonia, by putting her daughter’s life story down on paper.

“This book will be my way of celebrating and honoring her extraordinary life and career. Brittany was a kind, loving person who enjoyed each day; she was my life. I am looking forward to everyone reading the accurate account about my daughter, her life, loves and career,” Sharon Murphy said via statement today.

Sharon insists the biography will be an “accurate account about my daughter, her life, loves, and career.”

Brittany, who would have turned 33 today, died last December from pneumonia.  Monjack and Murphy’s mother had reported the actress was ill with flu-like symptoms in the days before her death.  Brittany, who starred in Clueless, Just Married, Girl Interrupted, Spun, 8 Mile, Uptown Girls, Sin City, Happy Feet, and Riding in Cars with Boys had seen her career start to fade in recent years as she battled rumors of being difficult (mostly attributed to her husbands on set interference), drug addiction, and an eating disorder.

Sharon says a portion of her profits from the sale of each book will be donated to charity. It is not yet known when the book will be released.
