Eric Roberts calls Kate Gosselin ‘a child abuser’
[HMG Celebrity News] – Jon Gosselin has taken frequent shots at his ex-wife in the media since their divorce, but now Kate Gosselin has a new critic — ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ star, Eric Roberts thinks she’s abusing her kids.
The 54-year old actor first aired his concerns on his Twitter account;
“I know she’s fading from the news, but hopefully someone’s still got their eye on the well-being of her kids,” he tweeted on November 1st. “Kate Gosselin is a child abuser.”
He later expanded this view in a blog post:
“Thank goodness there is footage of Gosselin hitting her kids, and apparently feeling fine about it,” he told SmallTown Gosselins. “The kids have an awful mother, and a father who doesn’t stop her.”
Eric is also concerned by reports that the eight junior Gosselins share 15% of Kate’s salary of $250,000 a show.
“The number of kids Kate and Jon have are the reason they have money,” he said. “It would be awful if financial stress was added to the kids’ problems. But the money should be divided ten ways.”
And despite the fact that his own daughter, Emma Roberts [from 'Scream'] has been acting since she was nine, Eric thinks using kids in TV shows or films is a minefield of risks;
“Kids are not willing participants in anything during childhood,” he explains to Radar.
And although Jon Gosselin wants his children to stop making the show, Eric thinks he’s got it all wrong;
“The kids could have a great time if their mom wasn’t a cruel horror who is clearly repeating generational abuse,” says Eric. “Jon’s got his eye on the wrong ball, but the kids should not be forced to do anything.”
As for Mamma Gosselin, Eric’s advice is blunt.
“Get out of denial and get anger management,” he counsels. “Next time she feels herself lifting a hand to one of her children, she should call a 12-step program.”
He also wants Jon to get a contract so that Kate loses money if the kids get a bruise;
“She’s playing the role of good mom,” Eric states. “When she stops playing the role as it’s written, she should be fired.”
The man hasn’t exactly reached super-stardom as yet, but he’s my new hero. What do you think of his views?….

Oh come on even in Canada you know who Eric Roberts is, maybe you don’t watch Batman though. But he is well-known in the states.
This woman is seen hitting her children on national television (and that is only what was filmed). But his posting was very eloquent and well said and much needed voice in Hollywood voicing an honest opinion of this woman.
Thank-you Eric for being so brave,I wish other people would come out and stop this woman.I am from Canada and I know who Eric is!more people need to come froward and tell thr truth about what is going on!
I am Canadian too and I think Eric was being too nice. Kate is bossy, self-absorbed, impatient, classless, talentless, controllling, immature, whiny, sreechy, a liar, materialistic, etc. etc. etc.
Eric I am from Canada and I think it was brave of you to say what you said; I think she does take advantage of the kids and Jon, but Jon is an idiot too. He should of not started dating so soon, but I understand what he is going through. These 8 kids are spoiled to death, I hope it doesn’t hurt them in the future. Yes; Kate needs Anger Management courses and why wasn’t she on Dancing with the Stars the other night.

Clearly this man knows nothing about real child abuse and is using Kate to get himself into the news (for a change). A slap on the hands or the backside, when deserved is not child abuse. It’s discipline. If he doesn’t agree with it – peachy. If he found other ways to discipline his kids and IF they worked – that’s his business. What works for one child doesn’t work for another one. I work with REAL child abuse and domestic violence situations. A mere slap on the fingers would be a walk in the park for these kids. How about (for NO reason) beatings until bruised/bones broken, cigarette burns, being tied up with duct tape? Sound more like real abuse???? This man has no idea what he’s talking about. He really should shut up and stop embarrassing himself.

Clearly this Eric guy did very little raising of his own child….and if he was around his child much, then watch out society.
When people start the spock craze of never spankin your child and new brood of disrespectful people joined the world.
Even the bible talks about spare the rod , spoil the child. Giving the child a open hand slap, spank is NOT child abuse. Geez! Common Sense people!
And hell yea being a parent now a days to children is extremely stressful and YES sometimes parents arent prefect and loose their cool occasionally. That doesnt mean shes a child abuser. God if thats the case we all are child abusers.
Eric Roberts?…..family advice?……your sister,the famous Julia Roberts has nothing to do with u…care to say why?…..is it that u are jealous of women upstaging u?…..quit bashing women that get more attention than u….
TLC has a lot of culpability in this families fall to hell. But mostly Kate and her need for the spotlight that has caused her kids to be expelled from “Private School”. It was caught on film Kate denying one of her eldest daughters water as Kate drinks it herself.
