Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag

[HMG Celebrity News] – In a story whose justified Karma is right off the charts it’s being claimed that those Olympian fame-whores, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are now broke, homeless and facing bankruptcy.

“We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the business part,” Life & Style reports Spencer as claiming. “In hindsight, we shouldn’t have spent any money. We should have saved. We spoke to a bankruptcy attorney and I’ve looked into unemployment checks.”

The Pratts go on to insist that in just four years on the D-list they have both earned and wasted $10-million, with such witless extravagances as a Malibu mansion at $35,000 a month, $3-million for Heidi’s atonal music career [which the critics despised,] buying songs for her at $40,000 each, and paying $100,000′s to transform Mrs. Pratt into ‘Maladroit Barbie.’

Add six cars, a large crop of ‘healing crystals’ and an egocentric insistence on private jets and the former ‘Hills’ couple now claim they owe $2 million in taxes, are mulling bankruptcy as a way out, and are living at home with the folks.

It’s not their fault, of course — these intellectual giants thought ‘The Hills’ was an endless meal-ticket, so when the final season was cut to ten shows and canceled their cozy life quickly went pear-shaped;

“We thought The Hills was going to be like 90210 and we’d have 5-10 years,” Spencer whines. “But we never saw Jersey Shore coming. Our cast was a bit boring by comparison. No wonder we got canceled.”

And Heidi says things got so bad, she even considered drastic measures…like doing some work.

“At our lowest point I considered posing nude in Playboy,” she explains, having only posed clothed before.

So what changed her mind? Spencer’s parents. Keen to save an innocent world from such unbounded horror they said she could live in their guest-house for free if she dropped the idea. And whaddya know — she did.

“I feel like I’m 14 again,” says Spencer, now 27. “My parents are my lifeline. But we don’t want sympathy. We did this to ourselves and feel like idiots. But we’ve grown up and are definitely not as naive anymore.”

Six weeks ago they were ‘divorcing.’ Now they’re hiring a U-Haul to move to Skid Row. They may not be ‘naive’…but they’re sure hoping the audience are!

What do you think? Are they really facing bankruptcy, or is this more fame-seeking BS?…
