Demi Lovato Has Checked Herself into Rehab
(HMG Celebrity News) – Demi Lovato, who has inspired millions of kids as one of Disney’s most popular young stars, has canceled her international concert tour with the Jonas Brothers and has checked herself into a rehab facility,” TMZ reports. All that is known so far is that Demi, who is just 18, is seeking treatment for “emotional and physical issues,” as her rep’s statement didn’t get real specific:
“Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time. Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that. … Demi regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”
Sources close to Demi tell TMZ the singer got into a physical altercation with a female member of her tour, which apparently acted as a “catalyst” in her decision to seek professional help. Prior to this announcement Demi who broke-up with Joe Jonas in the spring, just canceled her Twitter account, and missed a show in Peru, as part of the “Camp Rock 2″ tour she’s been on with the Jonas Brothers.
I hope she is going to the right rehab. I feel a lot of these celebrities who do decide rehabilitation is the only solution are taking necessary first step but are they choosing the right rehab center? Our’s has a more holistic approach to the rehabilitation process.
