Tiger-Woods-Small(HMG Celebrity News) – Many expect he will bounce back next year, which will be interesting to see, but for now Tiger Woods is not the number 1, golfer in the world rankings anymore. Injuries and the turmoil in his personal life took its toll on Tiger.  And now for the first in an amazing 281 weeks, which is over 5 years of Tiger’s reign, English golfer Lee Westwood  has ascended to the top.  Despite  Westwood failing to win a major in his career, has been the most consistent golfer in the world this past year and beyond, with one tour win and runner-up finishes in the Masters and at the British Open. He is the first European golfer to be No. 1 since Nick Faldo in 1994. Woods meanwhile drops to No. 2 and German Martin Kaymer, who would have become No. 1 had he finished first or second at yesterday’s Andalucia Valderrama Masters in Spain remains third in the rankings. American’s Phil Mickelson is fourth and Steve Stricker rounds out the top five.
