Charlie Sheen claims hotel meltdown story ‘overblown’
[HMG Celebrity News] – Although he’s no stranger to negative press, Charlie Sheen is now keen to dismiss most of the stories that emerged since New York police escorted him from his Plaza hotel suite Monday night.
The 45-year old actor says most press reports of him binging on cocaine and booze while entertaining a hooker in Room 1832 are wild exaggerations, or pure invention.
The good folks at the NYPD say Charlie seemed “intoxicated” when they arrived, and was offered the choice of being hospitalized or arrested. But Chuck disagrees;
“Oh man, I’m fine,” he told Radar by text message. “The story is totally overblown and overplayed as far as the reality of the scenario.”
After being checked into New York’s Presbyterian Hospital for psychiatric evaluation Charlie flew back to LA on Tuesday night, and he’s firm on the idea that no details of events at the Plaza will be released or discussed.
“I know what went down and that’s where it will stay… under wraps,” he told the scribes.
The naked lady they found in the closet has made no statement — so far. But Chuck’s publicist is doing enough talking for both.
“Charlie had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital,” they’ve since claimed in a statement.
NYPD Spokesman, Paul Browne said no complaints were received from other guests at the Plaza, and Charlie is not expected to face any charges.
Sheen is therefore expected to resume work inflicting more ‘Two and a Half Men’ shows on us as early as Friday…
