Hiccup Girl’ Jennifer Mee Charged with Murder

(HMG Celebrity News) – Jennifer Mee became a national sensation as the poor “Hiccup Girl,” cursed with a five-week case of hiccups, three years ago.  Her strange brush with fame, which included several appearances on the Today Show, has now turned to infamy.  The Florida 19-year-old may now face the death penalty after being implicated in a robbery turned into murder.

St. Petersburg, Florida police via MSNBC say Mee was one of three people involved in a robbery on Saturday night. According to police, Mee “lured” 22-year-old Shannon Griffin to a house, where he was allegedly robbed by two men co-accused with Mee, and shot several times and killed after a struggle.  Police said all three have admitted their involvement in the crime, and each stands charged with a count of felony first-degree murder. That crime can be punished by death in Florida.
