Elvira spoofs Christine O’Donnell ‘Witch’ ad

[HMG Celebrity News] – Politicians are the target of merciless humor, but for comedians Christine O’Donnell’s ‘I’m not a Witch’ ad is the gift that just keeps giving. Already lampooned on SNL, the latest deconstruction comes from no less than Elvira.

Now 59, the ghoul-loving icon got her break on the small Los Angeles TV station KHJ in 1981, hosting a late-night showcase of truly bad horror films. With her shock of [fake] black hair, mountainous cleavage and sharp tongue she was an instant hit, and the work’s been coming in ever since.

In a perfectly-aimed jab at Ms. O’Donnell the goth syren tells her fans she’s ‘Just like you…but with bigger t—s!”

But Elvira has a ulterior motive; Apart from being a witty denouncement of O’Donnell’s ad, the video is also a promo for “Werewolf of Washington” — another sample from her famous collection of terrible films that’s now playing on Hulu.

Meanwhile the target of all this comedic derision is not taking it well -  This morning on ‘Good Morning America,’ O’Donnell said she now regrets ever making the ad.

“I haven’t publicly stated this, but our intention was to kill it, and that’s not what happened,” she said.

Yeah, that worked out well.

Later in the interview the struggling 41-year old Delaware candidate was asked what her Halloween costume might be?

“I certainly am not going to be a witch! she retorted, adding that she might go as Dorothy from ‘The Wizard of Oz.’

“Kill the witch,” she said laughing.

And come November 2nd that just what the voters might do…
