Kamrava(HMG Celebrity News) – Dr Michael Kamrava, the fertility specialist working in Beverly Hills, who implanted 12 embryos into “Octomom” Nadya Suleman should have his medical licence revoked for ignoring standard guidelines, a lawyer for the state’s medical board testified. Suleman, an unemployed single mother of 14, has previously claimed that only six embryos were implanted, that eventually gave her octuplets.   National guidelines issued by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine  specify no more than two embryos are to be used in in-vitro treatments for a healthy woman under 35.  Suleman was 33 at the time of her last treatment.  This wasn’t the first time Dr Michael Kamrava disregarded standards with Suleman, for the pregnancies prior to her octuplets, she was implanted with between four and seven embryos previously. Dr. Victor Y. Fujimoto, an expert witness for the medical board said Kamrava also made an “extreme departure from standard of care” by failing to refer Suleman for a mental health evaluation after she said she wanted twins shortly after delivering her second child. The negligence complaint also alleges that Dr Kamrava improperly implanted another patient, aged 48, with seven embryos.  The judge in the case will hear more testimony today and will make a recommendation to the California Board of Medical Examiners on whether the license should be suspended or revoked.  On a perhaps ominous side note, Nadya Suleman has repeatedly said that the reason she had the octuplets was because she wanted to use the last of her frozen embryos.  But it was revealed during testimony yesterday that Suleman has 29 embryos left.
