Christine Aguilera files for divorce, seeking share custody of child

(HMG celebrity News) – Just two days after revealing she and her husband, Jordan Bratman had separated, Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce.

The divorce papers, obtained by TMZ, claim “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the break-up. But this has left people confused as it’s claimed by some close to the couple that Christina had actually cheated.

The couple also have a prenup, and the divorce petition asks that it be acknowledged, requesting that Christina’s  “Earnings and accumulations before marriage, during the marriage and from the date of separation” be considered separate property — so that Jordan gets nothing.

The date of separation is listed as being September 11 of this year.

The petition also seeks to terminate any rights or ability Jordan might have to obtain spousal or child support from his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Aguilera has made one concession, however: She is asking the court to grant that physical and legal custody of their only child — two-year old Max — should be shared between her and Bratman.

Sources close to the couple say their marriage imploded after Jordan discovered his wife of five years had been cheating.

Reps for Christina have refused any comment.

But the singer is not yet wearing sack-cloth over her latest failure — She was spied shopping in Santa Monica this morning with Max, who grinned as his mom waved to the crowd of attentive photographers.
