Courteney Cox offered $1-million to be dating diva
[HMG Celebrity News] — For those who just can’t get enough of the Courteney Cox / David Arquette break-up, here’s another luxuriant morsel — Courteney has now been offered $1-million to become a dating site’s icon.
The site, CougarLife.com matches lonely older women with young, single men and their bosses believe Courteney’s “personal circumstances,” plus her role in ‘Cougar Town’ mean she’d be perfect as the new public face of the site.
Should she accept, Cox would have to do 12 radio ads, four TV commercials and participate in at least 30 public appearances to promote the dating site’s service.
And the site’s bosses are apparently serious — TMZ says Courteney’s already been sent a contract and just needs to sign to get the rather prime payday.
Ignoring the affront of being branded a ‘Cougar’ at just 46, Courteney earned $7-million for Scream III — and that was shot in six weeks. These cheese-heads want to pay her $1-million and make her work for a year. Yeah, good luck with that.
There is, of course, a small catch — the owners reserve the right to dismiss her if she’s ever arrested or ‘conducts herself in a manner that brings her into disrepute,’ says their self-serving statement.
There’s no word on whether Courteney might deign to indulge this transparently opportunistic publicity stunt, but we’ll update you if she decides to sign up…
