Ben Harper stuns Laura Dern by filing for divorce

(HMG Celebrity News) – This at first glance sounds like just another celebrity couple who’s romance fizzled after a few years. Two-time Grammy winner Ben Harper, filed legal docs citing irreconcilable differences from his Golden Globe award winning actress wife Laura Dern. But there is some evidence that Ben may have blindsided Laura with the divorce, as TMZ sources connected with the couple, claim they have been living and traveling together throughout the year and were even intimate as recently as last week. That doesn’t jibe with Ben’s claim in the divorce papers that he and Laura separated back in January. The couple who have been married since 2005, have two children: Ellery, 9, and Jaya, 5. Ben is seeking physical custody of the children as part of a joint custody agreement, in which neither side would get spousal support. I kind of doubt Laura will go public with her side of the story, but I think more will come out on this story very soon, now that it is out in the open.  And there is perhaps some karma to all this because as I recall Ben Harper dumped his wife who was 7 months pregnant, for Laura.  And prior to that Laura got dumped by Billy Joe Thorton for Angelina Jolie?  Vicious circle!
