Michael Bolton ‘disappointed’ by DWTS exit, wants apology from Bruno Tonioli
[HMG Celebrity News] – In a moment of high-drama -Â Grammy-award winning singer Michael Bolton was cut from the latest season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on Tuesday night. And he’s rather upset.
The 57-year old performer and his dance partner Chelsie Hightower gave a spirited, jive-flavored performance of the 1956 Elvis Presley classic, ‘Hound Dog’ — complete with a dog kennel. And Bruno Tonioli delivered a scathing review;
“That was the worst jive in 11 seasons,” he told Bolton. “You should have taken your bone and gone back to the dog house. You did it all very, very badly.”
Bruno then gave the couple just three marks out of 10, putting them so far behind the other dancers they were sure to get dropped.
The singer has now demanded an apology.
“You heard the tone. Even Len Goodman stopped him and said, ‘That’s inappropriate.’” Bolton mewled on ‘Good Morning America. “I think he should apologize publicly and be reprimanded,”
And Bolton says he had other reasons to be disappointed by Bruno’s review;
“My mom was there. She’s 90 and I thought she was going to really enjoy it, and I just didn’t expect that level of disrespect from him,” he told the GMA hosts.
But despite the low score and their forced exit, Mr. Bolton still stands by his choice of routine, calling it ‘hilarious.’
