Matt LeBlanc in London Fashion Week meltdown

Matt LeBlanc[HMG Celebrity News] – During his ten seasons on Friends, Matt LeBlanc was everyone’s buddy. But the Matt who literally bumped into reporters at London Fashion Week was not friendly at all.

During a post-show party held at the Maddox Club in the upscale London district of Mayfair on Tuesday, Matt collided with a table at which sat reporters for Britain’s Daily Mirror. Once they’d picked all the glass off the floor the reporters inquired;

“You all right, Joey?…How you do-in?”

But it seems Matt was in no laughing mood;

“I’m not Joey. Don’t you dare call me Joey,” he snarled. “The papers say I’m finished, so don’t call me f***ing Joey. I want to leave that behind. I’m moving on.”

Somewhat stunned by the outburst the reporters responded;

“OK, Joey, if that’s how you feel. But that’s who everyone knows you as,”

And this made Matt see red;

“I’m not Joey,” he apparently yelled. “For the last time. I’m not f***ing Joey. It’s Matt. Matt LeBlanc. Joey’s in the past. I’m trying to do something new.”

So the scribes calmly inquired what this new project might be?

“I’m working with the ‘Friends’ producers to do comedy in England,” LeBlanc informed them. “And it’s got nothing to do with Joey before you ask.”

After searching a table crowded with vodka, mixers and expensive champagne, Matt located his glass and drained it in one. Then one of his ‘helpers’ dragged him away.

Perhaps the alcohol brought out the truth?  Because not so long ago ‘Matt’  insisted in an interview that he didn’t mind still being mistaken for his famous ‘Friends’ alter-ego, saying, “If people really believe me as that character, I have done my job. I don’t look on it as a negative thing. I take it as a compliment.”

And this is not the first time Matt caused a scene in a club. Last June he attended a party at an upscale club called ‘Mahiki,’ near the Houses of Parliament, and things soon went wrong.

“Matt told everyone he was going to have a relatively quiet night,” a fellow attendee recalls. “But when the first drink went down.. he changed.”

Matt hasn’t been seen on TV since his solo show ‘Joey’ imploded in 2006. And it seems to have had some effect. But if plans for this new show ever gel we’ll keep you advised…
