Spartacus star, Andy Whitfield in round 2 battle with cancer
[HMG Celebrity News] – Profoundly sorry to hear this and I know his many fans are too. Actor Andy Whitfield, who plays the mythical lead in the Starz breakout hit, ‘Spartacus: Blood and Sand’ has had a recurrence of the Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, he had in April. At the time, the cancer was detected during a routine medical check-up required for insurance before the show’s second season began shooting in New Zealand. Though the disease was caught early and he was given an all clear after treatment, apparently the cancer has returned forcing Andy to leave the show for now. In a statement, Whitfield expressed regret at leaving the series while describing his cancer battle “as another extraordinary journey.” The network said (via the AP) that co-stars Lucy Lawless and John Hannah would take center stage for a six-episode prequel leading up to Spartacus’ arrival. It will air beginning in January.

My sincere wishes for a smooth treatment and full recovery
We’re pullin’ for you. Season 2 of Spartacus won’t be the same without you.
sorry to find out you are battling this illness, but i read about a doctor in the US (Texas) named DR. BRYZUNSKI. HE HAS CREATED A CANCER CURE. please do your own research and if you think this is the real deal, stop the B.S. western medical treatment and kick cancer in the ass.
if anyone reads this post and has access to mr. whitfield please pass this information on to him & everyone u know. time is not on our side with issues of this nature.
