Annette Bening’s interview rules spark rumors of split

[HMG Celebrity News] – A movie festival always creates some interesting buzz, but the biggest news from this year’s Deauville Film Festival is that Annette Bening and Warren Beatty may be bound for divorce.

Opened in 1975, the Festival is a more low-key event than its neighbor in Cannes and Hollywood stars are thin on the ground. So when the hosts told reporters not to ask Annette questions about her husband or family, this was big news.

“The blackout immediately amped up speculation of an impending split,” one journalist told the Post.

Annette, 52, arrived in the sleepy town of just 4,600 people on the north coast of France to promote her new film, ‘The Kids Are All Right,’ in which she plays a lesbian mother and even creases the sheets in one scene with Julianne Moore. But Warren was not in attendance.

In fact, the couple have not been seen in public for over six weeks.

Married since March 10th 1992 they have four children — 18-year old Kathlyn, Benjamin, 16, Isabel, 13 and 10-year old Ella. And their rift is thought to be caused by Kathlyn’s decision to become a man.

She has lived as a male for two years, and is now awaiting a date for final surgery to achieve the transition. And Annette has agreed to pay for that procedure.

“Annette accepts that Kathlyn wants to become a man, while Warren is still trying to come to terms with it,” a source told the scribes.

But despite this apparent dispute, Annette’s rep shot the tales of a split down in flames;

“Ridiculous!” declared Simon Halls. “She was there to promote films and that’s what she did.”

Reps for Warren didn’t return calls, and Kathlyn couldn’t be reached.
