American Idol Premieres Online Auditions

(HMG Celebrity News) – Here’s another chance to show your stuff, if you think you are a talented singer. With former judges Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi gone, and rumored new faces Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler in, American Idol is trying to spice things up! In a press release Wednesday, The Fox reality singing show has announced it has setup online auditions, which can be submitted through MySpace until Oct. 6, for those that are between the ages of 15 and 28 (as of July 15, 2010). The entries must be no longer than 40 seconds, sung a capella, and hopefuls can chose an audition song from a list that includes Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone,” Keith Urban’s “Kiss a Girl,” and Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana.” An unspecified “select number” of people will be chosen to audition in Los Angeles based off their entries. Auditions were already held this summer in a number of cities, and another session was added for Sept. 22 in Los Angeles.
