Lady Gaga an unstable, bisexual control-freak, says new book
[HMG Celebrity News] – Despite a career driven almost entirely by endless publicity, a new book about Lady Gaga claims to expose what’s really behind all the hype.
Based on more than fifty interviews with friends, rivals, and industry veterans, and written by former New York Post editor, Maureen Callahan, ‘Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga‘ claims to tell the ‘real’ story of singer’s unfettered march towards world domination.
In its 256-pages the book claims that Gaga [born 'Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta' on March 28, 1986 in New York] is a mammoth control freak, and deeply passive-aggressive:
She’ll praise a staff member, then fire them a minute later with no stated reason or cause.
One interviewee alleges Gaga has fired over 150 people in less than two years.
Another tale concerns her 2008 debut single, ‘Just Dance’ — Gaga apparently re-cut the track hundreds of times so almost every radio station would have a copy with their call-sign in it — so they’d play it to death.
Even her image is debated — Close friends tell Callahan the crazy make-up and outfits are there to distract attention from the star’s own plain appearance. She was signed by Interscope as just a writer as she was “not pretty enough” to be a pop star, says one source. Which is when the ‘Lady Gaga’ image was born.
The singer also hates being alone and would often summon her ex-assistant, Angela Ciemny to schmooze and cuddle, and even share showers.
Callahan claims Angela slept with Gaga more often than her own husband. But this was all innocent, so we’re told – Gaga is so insecure she just can’t sleep on her own.
“We would do our make-up together every morning and get ready for bed together at night,’ Angela recalls in the book.
While on tour, Angela would often head for her husband’s hotel room…But Gaga didn’t let go so easily.
“I would say, ‘Steph, I have a husband. I’ll be in the room next door.’ And she’d text me: ‘I miss you Angie, can you come back?’ And she’d tell Dave, ‘Can your wife please stay with me tonight?’ So I’d sleep in her room.”
The book is due out tomorrow, from Hyperion Press — which is run by the same man who owns Maureen’s former paper — Rupert Murdoch. Whether that ruins the book’s value you’ll have to decide. But overall, will you buy it?…
