Susan Boyle Humiliated By Lou Reed Snub – Walks Off ‘America’s Got Talent’
(HMG Celebrity News) – Susan Boyle was forced to pull out of an appearance on America’s Got Talent after musician Lou Reed banned her from singing one of his greatest hits. Boyle arrived to L.A. yesterday to perform the 1972 hit song “Perfect Day” on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ the show that made her famous as runner-up of the 2009 British version of the show
However producers needed permission from Lou Reed, the former lead singer for The Velvet Underground and famous for “Walk on the Wild Side”for Boyle to perform the song. Why this was done seemingly at the last minute hasn’t been explained, but according to TMZ, Reed refused permission because he isn’t a Boyle fan.
When Boyle found out, she broke down in tears. Unprepared to do another song for the show because there was not enough time for her backup singers to learn another track with just two hour before the scheduled filming, Boyle immediately left LA and caught a flight back to London.

Seems Lou Reed is living up to his reputation.
I never heard of him so I just read up on him.
He’s a monster and has the worst voice I’ve ever heard.
What a low life. At 65, he’s just as big an ass as ever.
Be assured that I will NEVER buy anything that he has touched.
RIP, MF
He was sure quick to accept payment for her singing the song on her CD, and I’m sure he’ll be with with his hand out to collect the royalties.
This was a low blow, even for him.
Susan, yank that from your album. Don’t let the SOB make a dime from you.
