Miley Cyrus’ brother Trace and dad bag new SyFy show
[HMG Celebrity News] – With Miley Cyrus’ career having apparently reached a plateau it looks like another Cyrus offshoot is being prepared for life in the limelight: Miley’s brother, Trace has signed for a reality show on the SyFy network.
The 21-year old former musician and his country star dad are developing a show called ‘UFO: Unbelievably Freakin’ Obvious,’ in which they will travel the country offering skeptical views and solutions to myths and popular theories.
“Our audience craves authentic and informative storytelling that pushes the boundaries of our normal world,” Mark Stern, head of programing for SyFy told TV Guide. “Allegations of cover-up and conspiracy have inspired heated debate for decades. It will be interesting to see what truths Billy Ray and Trace may discover.”
Other than being Miley’s dad, 49-year old Billy Ray’s claim to fame is his music career. His 1992 debut album sold 20-million copies, then he moved into Christian songs and sold even more. Then came Hannah Montana and a strong run on DWTS in 2007. But he’s now really jazzed by this gig with his son.
“The existence of paranormal phenomena is something I’ve always wanted to explore,” Billy explained to the scribes. “To take this adventure with my son, who has always had a keen interest in this area, is a dream come true.”
There’s no date for broadcast yet, but if Billy got Miley a place in the show you can be sure the network would soon find a spot.
