Paris Hilton and Cy Waits

[HMG] – With the press coverage of Tuesday’s apparent break-in now dying down, Paris Hilton has rushed to pour gas on the flames by revealing that her boyfriend, Cy Waits, held the intruder at gun-point until cops arrived.

Cy — who runs the $100-million ‘Encore’ hotel in Las Vegas with his twin brother Jesse — told cops that he and Paris heard a loud banging noise at around 6.30am Tuesday, so he grabbed a gun and went to explore.

He soon discovered the alleged intruder, Nathan Parada peering through a window, armed with two knives, and ordered him to lay on the ground. Cy, 34, then held him at gunpoint until the PD arrived.

Cops told TMZ that Parada purchased a star map on Hollywood Boulevard the previous day because he wanted to find out where Paris was living. This twisted curiosity got him booked on charges of ‘felony burglary,’ and he’s currently in police custody under a ’5150′ psychiatric detention order.

Sources close to the 29-year old former heiress say Paris has since installed several new cameras, plus infra-red technology to spot new intruders. She’s also hired two new bodyguards.

And never one to avoid melodrama, she’s since told friends, “Thank God Cy was there, he saved my life.”

Well, we all make mistakes…
