Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Divorce is Official
(HMG) – After much speculation and negotiating Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, have officially divorced. Nine months after the shocking revelation that golf’s number one rank golfer had been cheating on his wife, followed by his middle-of-the-night car crash outside his home, the paperwork was officially filed Monday in Florida’s Bay County Circuit Court, their lawyers said in a statement. Terms of the divorce were not disclosed, other than that they will share parenting of their children, daughter Sam, 3, and son Charlie, 1.
Some pretty wild numbers have been tossed around, concerning how much money Elin Nordegren might get as her divorce from Tiger Woods is now final. There were reports that the final figure could be as high as $750-million, but that was absurd . In 2008, Forbes Magazine reviewed Tiger’s net worth and placed it at $550-600-million. So the 750 was just tabloid hot-air. The likely number Elin walked away with has been speculated to really be $100-million. It’s ten times the amount Tiger reportedly paid to former ‘friend’, Rachel Uchitel, for her silence. A lot of good that did.
Tiger Woods committed the ultimate betrayal, deception and humiliation against Elin Nordegren and their children. A wife does not get over such ordeal in a short period of time. I think that Elin Nordegren is a woman with class, dignity and self respect and she would have never stay with a man like Tiger Woods, whom she may not respect and trust anymore. Tiger Woods seems to be a troubled man with serious character and emotional issues that appears to be long standing. Elin seems to know that the emotional demands of staying married to Tiger Woods would have been very high and not worth it. Elin has a big responsibility to herself and her two small children. I commend Elin for her wise decision, for being a caring and loving mother and for her great courage, dignity and class during this horrid time in her life. I wish them all the best!!!
