Early Creative Arts Emmy Winners Include Betty White & Neil Patrick Harris

Betty White(HMG) – The 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out last night, at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.  These are the awards that don’t make it to the live primetime show.  Betty White continues to surprise with her resurgence, and has now won an Emmy last night for her guest-host gig on Saturday Night Live last May. Neil Patrick Harris who’s expecting twin babies, picked up two awards in the meantime, one for his guest stint on Glee and another for helping produce last year’s Emmys. Other award winners last night include Survivor’s Jeff Probst, who won in the Reality Host category.  The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, featuring the remaining categories, are set for next Sunday on NBC. Some of the other top winners:

  • Guest Actor in a Drama Series: John Lithgow, Dexter
  • Guest Actress in a Drama Series: Ann-Margret, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
  • Voice-Over Performance: Anne Hathaway, The Simpsons
  • Animated Program: Disney Prep & Landing, ABC
  • Short-Form Animated Program: Robot Chicken, Cartoon Network
  • Reality Program: Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, ABC
  • Children’s Program: Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, Disney Channel
  • Variety, Music or Comedy Special: The Kennedy Center Honors, CBS
  • Special Class Program: 63rd Annual Tony Awards, CBS
  • Commercial: “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like” (Old Spice Body Wash)
  • Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series: The Colbert Report, Comedy Central
