Heidi Montag’s plastic surgeon killed in freak crash

[HMG] – In news that would reduce his patients to tears if they were still capable of any expression, renowned Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan, whose clients included Heidi Montag, Gene Simmons, Shauna Sand and ‘America’s Next Top Model’ winner Adrianne Curry has been killed in a car crash.

The 50-year old doctor was driving his Jeep along the Pacific Coast Highway at around 4.30pm yesterday when the car left the road for reasons that are so far unclear. The Jeep landed on rocks, trapping Dr. Ryan inside and causing severe head injuries.

TMZ says lifeguards rushed to his aid and the Ventura Fire Department tried a rescue by helicopter, but that was abandoned. Dr Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Dr. Ryan entered private practice in Beverly Hills in 1994 and performed one of the first ever makeovers on live TV.

His most famous makeover may be Heidi Montag. In January, Heidi revealed to the press that Dr. Ryan had performed ten plastic surgeries on her in a single day. Among them were a brow-lift, ear-pinning, chin reduction, a nose job and a second breast enlargement procedure.

Just before the crash, Dr. Ryan posted a picture on Twitter of his dog, Jill, surveying the scene from the top of a dune they had just climbed. Jill — a border collie — was injured in the subsequent crash, but survived.
