Michael Douglas(HMG) – Michael Douglas’ rep Allen Burry, has told People magazine that the Oscar-winning actor has been diagnosed with a tumor in his throat.

Douglas, 65, will begin eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatment,  according to Burry and his doctors expect the actor to make a full recovery.

“I am very optimistic,” Douglas said in a statement.

This probably will impact Michael being able to promote his latest movie, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” due to open in theaters Sept. 24.  But small potatoes compared to getting through this ordeal and regaining his health.  And we wish him a speedy recovery.
