Katie Holmes admits Suri’s her stylist

[HMG] – For her humble beginnings in Toledo, Ohio, Katie Holmes has come a long way. She moved to Hollywood while still only 16, won a lead role in Dawson’s Creek in under a year, then married Tom Cruise. And then there’s 4-year old Suri.

In a new interview with New York magazine, Katie, 31, admits the lives of both her and her husband are largely ruled by Suri’s commands. And, like her mom, Suri loves clothes;

“Suri and I alter her clothes Or rather, she does it,” Katie admits. “She’s picked all her own clothes since she was 18-months old.”

Katie’s mom was in the fashion business, and this has made Katie love couture all her life. But Suri is now her lead stylist;

“Tom and I went to the Met Ball,” she recalls. “And I had this beautiful red gown and some royal-blue shoes I wasn’t planning on wearing, but Suri made me put them on, and I said, ‘Okay, I trust you.’”

Needless to say the result was grotesque.

Katie’s next job is a movie for the History Channel in which she plays Jackie Kennedy, and Suri will be with her on-set. But even after four years of marriage her love for Tom is still easy to see:

“He’s Tom Cruise!” she gushes at the reporters. “His body of work is incredible. Every movie he’s made has done really well. Everything’s a classic. I often say, “Imagine a scene…how would you play it?” And he’s helpful and sweet and gracious. He’s quite an incredible human being.”

How’s that for some Academy Award-winning fawning?

So what we have here is a scenario in which a 4-year old girl has more control over Katie’s whole life than she does, or even tries to reclaim. Then there’s the Scientology thing.

This is not good, in so many ways…
