Justin Bieber uses his fans to revenge tweet an enemy
(HMG) – With fame comes power, but when you are 16-years-old will you use it wisely? Canadian tween pop star Justin Bieber used his huge fan base to take revenge or at least punk another kid, sending out a Detroit metro area teenager’s phone number to his 4.5 million followers on Twitter.
The tweet according to Gawker, which Bieber posted around midnight last night (local time), read, “everyone call me 248-XXX-XXXX
or text.” The phone number was not Bieber’s but the mobile phone of Detroit-area teenager Kevin Kristopik.
Bieber was reportedly angry at Kristopik for hacking the Twitter account of one of Bieber’s friends and using it to get the star’s phone number. Kristopik admitted the hacking, writing, “im the one who hacked ryan and got justins #” on July 27.
Bieber mercifully deleted the tweet a few minutes later, but the damage had already been done: Thousands of Bieber’s followers retweeted the message, and Kristopik received countless phone calls and more than 10,000 text messages. It is unknown whether Kristopik has unlimited texting for his phone but if he doesn’t that is gonna be one huge phone bill. Shortly after 1am, Kristopik tweeted, “Thanks for giving out my # @justinbieber”. Kristopik also posted video online of his phone receiving a stream of calls and text messages. Gawker attempted to contact Kristopik for comment, but not surprisingly his voice mailbox was full.
