BritneySpears[HMG] – If you thought Fox’s hit musical show ‘Glee’ couldn’t get even more ‘fabulous,’ we have good news — Britney Spears is booked for a show.

Glee’s creator, Ryan Murphy was a guest on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show yesterday and he confirmed that the 28-year old singer was “100%” going to be in one episode for a couple of scenes.”

The plot for her show is quite novel — Some of the glee club members visit the dentist — played by John Stamos — and the effects of anesthesia gives them hallucinations — during which they meet Britney.

But Murphy made it clear the show will avoid mentioning Britney’s low points, like her breakdown in 2007, and focus instead on the happier days.

“The Britney episode is reverential about her,” Murphy told the News. “It’s about her music, not her personal life. Britney is pop culture and I want to do something that says ‘Thank you for what you’ve done.’ We’re handling Britney with kid gloves.”

Not content with enlisting the help of Ms. Spears to build his show’s stature, Murphy is also planning to put the whole thing on Broadway.

Back in March, the people at ‘Music Theater International’ announced they were in ‘negotiations’ to turn Glee into a Broadway stage show. The Fox network quickly denied any such deal but Murphy himself has confirmed it.

“The show is definitely happening,” he told reporters. “I’m auditioning people now.”

And he should know — The 44-year old Emmy winner just signed a development deal with Fox which gives him far more creative control than before. He’s now the show’s executive music producer and also gets a share of the profits from the soundtracks, DVD sales, merchandise – and any tour or shows.

And just to really make Ryan’s day perfect, Glee just got picked up for two more seasons on Fox.
