George Michael[HMG] – In July we reported that Wham! star, George Michael had crashed his car into a London store window. Today, the singer was charged with possession of cannabis and driving while under the influence in regards to the crash.

George, 47, attended a north London police station early today and was charged with the two offenses, then released, says the Sun.

“Michael was released on police bail to appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on August 24.” says the brief statement from Scotland Yard.

Sadly, this is not George’s first brush with the law: In May of 2007 he was charged with being unfit to drive due to drink or drugs. He lost his license for two years. On September 19 of 2008 he was arrested for possession of a Class-C controlled substance.

He was arrested again in August last year after slamming his $125,000 Range Rover into a 7-ton truck on a busy London highway.

He later admitted to smoking as many as twenty-five joints a day.

With an estimated net worth of $141-million, you’d think he’d at least hire a driver…
