American Idol Breaks Off Negotiations with Overdemanding Jennifer Lopez

(HMG) – With Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres both departing the talent search, the network had been pursuing a number of celebrities as potential judges, including Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. Jennifer Lopez was thought to be a sure thing but all that has suddenly changed, according to a source close to the situation who shared with People’s TV Watch. Apparently JLo was in negotiations to be a permanent judge on the show for its upcoming 10th season but the deal fell apart over her allegedly unreasonable demands.  “Her demands got out of hand,” says the source. “Fox had just had enough.”  People says Fox “may be looking at their earlier top picks again On a side note another music diva is available, as Nick Cannon says his wife Mariah Carey wants to be an ‘Idol’ judge, but it doesn’t sound like she has been approached yet.
