Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have officially broken up

(HMG) – I don’t think many were buying the ‘were taking a break’ announcement they made previously in June.  So it probably comes as no surprise that actress Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen who have been engaged since late 2008 are now officially split. The couple met on the set of their 2008 film ‘Jumper’ and had been dating since. But the former ‘The O.C.’ star Bilson was asked about her wedding plans at the Take No Prisoners event in L.A. in June, and she replied, “No, no plans” and pointed to her ringless finger and said, “No nothing.” Oops!  Since then all has been quiet, but Bilson’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE, that it’s officially over today.
