Leonardo DiCaprio’s slasher to finally face trial

[HMG] – A former model accused of attacking Leonardo DiCaprio with a wine glass in 2005 has been re-arrested in Canada and will finally stand trial in the United States.

40-year old Aretha Wilson is accused of slashing Leo’s face with the glass at a party at the home of Paris Hilton’s ex-boyfriend, Rick Salomon in the Hollywood Hills in June of ’05. She was quickly arrested and charged with ‘Assault with a deadly weapon,’ but fled to Canada before her trial began.

She was taken into custody in Ontario last week and flown back to the US, under police escort, to face justice.

Police reports say Leo needed 17 stitches to close the wound to his face and ear.

And Aretha’s clearly quite skilled at her craft — a year after nearly disfiguring Leo she smashed a bottle over her ex-boyfriend’s head and was convicted for that attack, too.

There’s no trial date yet but Leo’s expected to testify against his assailant, so you can be sure this story will get updated. A lot.
