Alfred Molina Set to Star in Law & Order Los Angeles Spinoff with Skeet Ulrich
(HMG) – As we have reported previously, Law & Order is not being renewed for what would have been a record-breaking 21st season. If true, it means creator and executive producer Dick Wolf will have to settle for simply tying Gunsmoke‘s record as TV’s longest-running drama series. Wolf now wants to try to make a deal to take the Law & Order flagship to TNT himself, but so far no news on that. Whatever happens with the original L&O, the new spinoff Law & Order: Los Angeles, is moving forward and has now secured acclaimed film and Broadway actor Alfred Molina to play Deputy District Attorney Morales. He will join Skeet Ulrich (“Jericho”) who plays a lead detective in the new crime drama that, like its predecessors, divides its episodes between the work of police and prosecutors. The series “Law & Order: Los Angeles” nicknamed “LOLA” will air 10 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesdays, joining “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” on NBC.

That should be an interesting change. I love the show and they have been making a lot of changes. I’m excited to see how it all comes together now.
