Julia Robert’s brother, Eric joins Celebrity Rehab

[HMG] – We’ve reported before on major casting problems for Dr. Drew and season four of Celebrity Rehab, but it seems the good doctor has booked a new patient: Eric Roberts – brother of Julia Roberts — is checking in for some sessions.

The 54-year old actor and vegan has played more than 180 roles in TV and movies in a 36-year career, including parts in Law & Order, CSI, ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ and ‘Fight Club’ – And that’s a work history almost unheard of in Hollywood.

Now Eric’s moving into the Pasadena Recovery Center to start work on the show, and is sharing space with alleged drug victim, Jeremy London.

“Eric Roberts is my room-mate and is simply amazing,” London tells Radar. “He’s an incredible person. The entire cast is unbelievably cool and we’re getting along great.”

And London had nothing but praise for the Doctor himself.

“Dr. Drew rocks, and there’s real healing here,” London mused, adding that he’s already become friends with fellow cast-mates Jason Wahler and Rachel Uchitel.

The new season is expected to premiere on VH1 in October, but that may change as the producers have admitted to having some trouble attracting the stars. Apart from Eric and Jeremy they have Rachel, Jason, Bonnie Pointer and ex Supermodel, Janice Dickinson.

I’d say five D-listed fame-whores should be enough for a show, but I’m not VH1. Watch this space, guys — we’ll let you know who comes next…
