Comic-Con Avengers and Hulk News

Mark Ruffalo(HMG) – Big super-hero news coming out of the big Comic-Con convention.  TheWrap is reporting that Mark Ruffalo and executives at Marvel, are in final negotiations to play the Hulk in the upcoming Marvel movies, replacing Ed Norton.  The hope is to wrap up the negotiations in time for Ruffalo to fly in from the East Coast to join the cast of “The Avengers,” the star-studded superhero ensemble at the highly anticipated events Saturday at Comic-Con in San Diego.  “The Avengers” cast already consists of “Iron Man” Robert Downey Jr., Black Widow – Scarlett Johannssen, Nick Fury by Samuel L. Jackson, Thor portrayed by Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans who will play Captain America. The news comes as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator Joss Whedon, confirmed to a crowd of Comic-Con fans on Thursday that he would be directing the blockbuster.  In addition to creating the long-running “Buffy,” Whedon has created and overseen such cult shows as “Angel,” “Firefly,” and “Dollhouse.”
