Michael Lohan and Kate Major[HMG] – In case you thought Lindsay Lohan’s current vacation at a federal hotel was not trouble enough for one family, her daddy Michael Lohan is now deep in some grief of his own with Kate Major.

We reported yesterday that Kate filed assault charges against the 50-year old ex-Wall Street trader, claiming he threatened to kill her, called her a “c—t” and kicked her in the face. Her complaint then goes on to say;

“My fiance Michael Lohan came home while I was sleeping in a sofa chair.  He woke me up, yelling, ‘Why didn’t you pick up your cell-phone!’” she claims. “He then turned over the chair while I was still in it, tossing me to the floor. He then took his shoe off and kicked me in the face while I was still on the ground and said, ‘I’m going to go back to jail because of you, ’cause I will kill you.’”

The police report merely states “Minor swelling observed on lip.”

For his part, Michael says there was an argument but no physical abuse, saying Kate was “heavily intoxicated” at the time of the claimed interaction.

Mr. Lohan also told reporters Kate has “major issues” – She’s emptied their joint bank account, is suing her own father for money that isn’t hers, and also sold several stories about Lindsay to the tabloids for cash.

Records also prove she has been in rehab – three times.

And Mr. Lohan’s attorney, Lisa Bloom is backing him up: Here’s a digest of her statement;

“Michael Lohan 100% denies every one of Kate Major’s allegations,” she told TMZ. “He has never threatened to harm her or physically abused her in any way. Kate was heavily intoxicated during their argument on Monday. Michael Lohan has been clean and sober for six years and expects to be fully vindicated.”

Her client has now been charged with ’2nd degree harassment’ for the alleged attack, and will be formally arraigned on August 18. Should he fail to appear a judge can issue a bench warrant for his immediate arrest.

The case is ongoing and we’ll update when the arraignment occurs…
