Jersey Shore’s J-Woww denies rumors of strike

Jersey-Shore-Cast[HMG] – In a carefully scheduled rebuttal of last week’s claims of a ‘strike’ by the Jersey Shore cast, Jennifer ‘J-Woww’ Farley says the whole story was false.

“That’s a very untrue rumor,” she tells Us Magazine. “You have to laugh at crazy reports like that. Stories about strikes and things make us all laugh.”

The stories surfaced last week, claiming that shooting for season three had been suspended while Snooki, ‘The Situation’ and their housemates argued for a 200% pay-rise, which would net them $30,000 a show.

“Snooki and Situation would make the most,” a source told the scribes. “The second tier would be Vinny, Pauly D and J-Woww The third tier would be Ronnie and Sammi.”

Ronnie and Sammi were even claiming they could make more money from personal appearances at nightclubs, than by being on the show.

Of course, once they weren’t on TV the clubs wouldn’t want them…but logic like that is clearly too much to ask.

“We all know that production is right on schedule.” J-Woww now claims. “When the rumor came out I had no idea what it was all about. None of it was true. Nobody talked about going on strike. I called Nicole and asked, ‘What is going on?’ We all just laughed about it.”

The entire cast is now booked to return to Seaside Heights when the new season bows on July 29. The rumors said some inmates would be leaving, but those in charge of the show changed their minds.

“There was never any talk of a strike and everyone is very happy with the way production’s been going,” Farley now insists. “Don’t believe what you read.”

So if all the cast knew the ‘strike’ story was false, how come none of them bothered to say so on Twitter? Instead, they wait a week to deny it so they’d get twice the press.

The show itself is irreparably dumb, but insulting PR stunts like this are pathetic…
