Donald Trump Wants to Replace Simon Cowell on American Idol But Two Others Have Inside Track

(HMG) – Well we haven’t had much speculation of late on who will take the highly prized American Idol judges position from Simon Cowell.  A new large size hat (because of his swelled head) has been tossed into the ring, as The Hollywood Reporter says that Donald Trump “has quietly lobbied” for the judging vacancy left by Cowell.  I didn’t think The Donald, did anything quietly? Fox though appears like they want to go the route of someone with a musical background as an entertainer.  THR says the network has met twice with singer Chris Isaak about the job and Harry Connick Jr. is also under consideration. Brett Michaels who was rumored to be a contender is now reportedly out of the running.  I think both Chris Isaak or and Harry Connick Jr. would be initially well received by viewers, but I wonder if the show will be as entertaining without a judge who brings the
