Katy Perry and Russell Brand always fighting, claim friends

[HMG] – As you know, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are planning to marry this fall, but friends have their doubts as the couple never seem to stop arguing. And always in view of the press.

“They fight and make-up constantly,” says a friend of pair, who says they’ve been like that since day one.

The couple made their debut in public when 25-year old Perry was a guest at the Brooklyn wedding of her friend, Janelle Fishman, and brought Russ as her date. But even then it was clear there was friction.

“Russ got angry because he thought she drank too much that night,” an insider tells the News. “Katy ended up staying with a friend in New York, and Russ went back to their hotel room alone.”

And the anger is mutual — Russell has endured addictions to alcohol, narcotics and sex, and Katy is worried he may have a relapse, and she’d have a rival.

“There have always been fights about other women − despite Russell talking about how much he loves her all the time,” says the insider.

One alleged ‘fight’ erupted at last month’s MTV Movie Awards. Katy sang at the show, and Russ was a presenter. But they [apparently] had a fight just before the gig started, and arrived in separate cars and sat at different tables.

“She suspected Russ of cheating, and it wasn’t the first time,” says the friend.

But the pair were seen hand-in-hand at the after-party at the Las Palmas nightclub in central Los Angeles.

“It’s a cycle,” Katy’s friend confirms.

Yes, it’s called ‘Attention whoring.’ Step 1: Stage-manage a ‘fight’ to get press attention. Step 2: Pretend to ‘reconcile’ and get more attention. Then just wash, rinse and repeat until your fans get sick of these games and admire someone else.

It’s worked so well for Lindsay, Paris, Britney, Heidi and too many others to count…
