Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem got married!

(HMG) – Congratulations to the very talented and private couple, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem who have quietly married!  Engagement rumors were swirling  last year and never confirmed, but Cruz’s representative Amanda Silverman has confirmed to the AP, that the couple were married in the beginning of July at a friend’s house in the Bahamas in a very small private ceremony only among family. Bardem, 41, and Cruz, 36, both from Spain, first met while filming 1994 comedy-drama, ‘Jamon Jamon’ in Barcelona, then seemed to spark while playing husband and wife in Woody Allen’s ‘Vicky Christina Barcelona,’ which won Penny her first Oscar as ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in 2008.  Bardem has his own supporting-actor Oscar for his chilling role in the 2007 crime thriller “No Country for Old Men.”
