John Stamos(HMG) – The trial is underway in a case against a Michigan couple charged with conspiring to extort money from “Full House” and “ER” actor John Stamos in exchange for photos they claimed showed him with cocaine and strippers. Attorneys for the defendants, one of whom claims she had a fling with Stamos when she was 17 during a spring break trip to Florida in 2004, have suggested in court papers that they plan to make Stamos’ sex life an issue to exonerate their clients. Scott Sippola, 31, and Allison Coss, 24, have pleaded not guilty to charges of felony extortion and misusing interstate commerce. The judge has ruled that testimony about Coss and Stamos’ alleged relationship won’t be allowed in the trial, but attorneys worked in the ‘sex and drugs’ story during opening arguments, which isn’t considered testimony. Coss and Sippola’s lawyer, claim Stamos tried to perform oral sex on Coss after plying her with cocaine delivered by strippers in 2004, shortly after Stamos had separated from his wife, actress and supermodel Rebecca Romijn. The two allegedly remained “flirty” email pals, writing to each other “with some regularity. Coss, and Sippola, both of Marquette, are accused of conspiring to extort $680,000 from Stamos by telling him they had photos of him with cocaine and strippers. The defense conceded the couple made mistakes, but said they were not trying to extort money from Stamos. They were simply giving him a chance to buy the photos first.
