Actress Jennifer Hudson[HMG] – After almost two years of emotional strain, Dreamgirls star, Jennifer Hudson is finally planning to talk about the three murders that almost wrecked her own life.

On October 24th of 2008 Jennifer was given the news that her mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson had been shot dead at the home in Chicago in which she’d grown up. Her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King had also been kidnapped.

Three days later, Julian’s body was found in an abandoned Chevrolet Suburban, parked on a street in Chicago’s West Side. He’d been shot several times.

Jennifer even had to visit the morgue to identify the small body.

And just to turn the knife further, the man charged with the murders, 27-year old William Balfour was the estranged husband of Hudson’s own sister, Julia — who was Julian’s mom.

Balfour was on parole at the time after serving almost seven years in jail for attempted murder, carjacking and the possession of a stolen vehicle. He’s now awaiting trial at the Stateville Correctional Center near Joliet, Illinois.

Since launching her career through ‘American Idol’ in February 2004, Jennifer won a 2007 Oscar for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in ‘Dreamgirls,’ then bagged a Grammy for ‘Best R&B Album’ in 2009.

But tonight, the 28-year old singer will be in more somber mode as she’s featured in a ‘Behind the Music’ special on VH1, and the promos promise that ‘For the first time, Jennifer talks candidly about that painful time in her life.’

Her recovery has been remarkable; No doubt aided by her September 2008 engagement to long-time beau David Otunga, and becoming a mommy to David Daniel Otunga Jr., last August.

But the show should be quite a release after so much emotion, so tune in and let’s hear your reviews…
