Fans remember Michael Jackson’s death today
(HMG) – Michael Jackson fans around the world lit candles on Friday to mark the first anniversary of his death one year ago. The king of pop, was found dead in his rented Los Angeles mansion on June 25 last year. Jackson, 50, was rehearsing for a series of concerts aimed at reviving a career. Barricades are already set up at Forest Lawn, the Los Angeles-area cemetery which already houses Hollywood legends including Clark Gable and Carole Lombard, for the huge throng of fans and some of Jackson’s family members expected to arrive today. Five large wreaths of flowers and dozens of bouquets, drawings and photos of Jackson had been placed outside his private mausoleum.  Billboard recently estimated Jackson’s earnings in the past year have hit $1 billion, including album sales generating about $383 million and revenue from the film “This Is It” hitting nearly $400 million. Meanwhile his personal doctor Dr. Conrad Murray, awaits trial on a criminal charge of causing his death by giving him a powerful anesthetic as a sleep aid and his sister LaToya recently claimed he was murdered for his back catalog.

Rest in peace Michael. We love you dearly!
