Kellie Pickler engagement with Kyle Jacobs now a special day

(HMG) – Before now-fiance Kyle Jacobs asked the former “American Idol” finalist Kellie Pickler to marry him on June 15, she used to regard it as a dark day. It was the birthday of Pickler’s late grandmother, Faye, she tells People, and the day tended to be “sad and hard” for her to get through. When Jacobs proposed, though, “It turned out to be the most amazing day of my life. My whole world changed. We both feel like we got my grandmother’s blessing.” Pickler’s mother abandoned her and her father went to jail, so she was raised by her grandmother Faye.   Jacobs who has dated Kellie for 2.5 years, proposed on a beach in Florida at sunset after setting up a blanket and candles at the end of a seaside stroll. “Afterward, we just held each other and had the most beautiful prayer,” he tells the magazine. “We had a little champagne and talked and laughed and cried.”
