Jerry Seinfeld disses Lady Gaga for Mets tantrum

Jerry Seinfeld[HMG] – Many people have been critical of the half-witted behavior of Lady Gaga at Citi Field early this month, but none with quite the razor-tongued ire of Jerry Seinfeld.

The 56-year old comedic icon is a huge fan of the Mets, and it was in his box at the June 10 game against the San Diego Padres that the alleged singer gave both the fans and assembled photographers the full measure of her intellectual depth with repeated one-finger salutes, while clad only in cheap underwear.

“This woman is a jerk; I hate her,” Seinfeld said on WFAN radio on Monday night. “I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for. You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now? It’s pathetic!”

The 24-year old singer arrived at Citi Field during the game’s fifth innings. Within minutes the realization that her front row seats were too close to the photographers whose attention she craves the rest of the time inspired an adolescent tantrum that was crowned by the finger.

Once this ploy had assured her of ample free press she disappeared into the concourse, and emerged two innings later — in Jerry’s private box. And there was more finger. And underwear.

“Why is she giving the finger?” he asked host, Steve Somers. “How old is the finger? I wish her the best, but you take one ‘A’ off that name and you’ve got ‘Gag.’ She’s talented – I don’t know why she’s doing this stuff.”

Steve then pointed out that Gaga also appeared at the Yankees’ game against the Mets last Friday.

“Oh please, wake me when it’s over,” was the weary response.

“You hate her?” asked Steve. “Yeah!” said his guest.

Personally, this is the first thing Jerry’s done that I’ve liked. Well deserved, too. What’s your take on his views?…
