Gary Coleman took out restraining order against Shannon Price before his death

Gary Coleman[HMG] – In a telling, but not unexpected postscript to Gary Coleman’s recent demise, it’s now been determined the late actor took out a restraining order against his ex-wife, Shannon Price.

Filed and granted in February without using names, which is why it’s been hidden until now, the order includes statements from Gary that his ex had moved back into his home while he was briefly in hospital some months ago. And in telling contrast to the angelic role Shannon has played for the public, Gary writes in the order that she’d shown;

“A tendency to damage, destroy and steal my property and I believe she will continue to do so in my absence while she is trespassing in my home.”

Gary was granted the order on February 19, but never served it on Shannon. She later posed for photos with him while Gary was on life support, and sold both them and numerous interviews within 24-hours of his death on May 28,

“The dynamics of their relationship were very unhealthy,” Gary’s former agent, Robert Malcolm told Radar. “He knew he needed to break away, so he made sure she was not allowed in his home.  But he had feelings for her even though she was abusive, so he allowed her back in.”

And the order makes it chillingly clear how Price repaid Gary’s kindness.

“I believe if she is given any warning of this pending order to vacate the home, she will cause more damage and destroy more irreplaceable memorabilia, documents, personal papers and other valuables,” he told the court in the application. “I would therefore ask the Court to issue this order ex-parte, requiring her removal, and restraining her from being on the premises under any circumstance.”

‘Ex Parte’ means the order can be granted without Shannon’s knowledge or presence in court. Gary also asked for police to be present when Shannon moved out.

And Robert says Gary’s concerns were well founded;

“Gary tried to give her everything to make her happy,” he recalls. “She was incredibly jealous of his fame, she was a nobody, and she didn’t like to be known as a nobody, so now she is having a ball.”

On May 27, Gary collapsed in the same house from which he wanted Shannon evicted. She then called 911, making it clear to the operator that her only concern was ‘being in the room with all this blood,’

The diagnosis was an intracranial hemorrhage [A ruptured blood vessel bleeding into the skull.] Gary had signed a living will that required at least 15-days of life support. After two days Price turned that support off.

Gary was just 42.
