Heidi Montag moving forward with divorce from Spencer Pratt

(HMG) – Despite everyone’s misgivings that this is another publicity stunt, it appears that Heidi Montag is moving definitively forward with divorce plans with her husband Spencer Pratt.  Some of the recent zaniness leading up to this have included Heidi and Cougar Zank, Spencer Pratt’s former best friend and body guard, shopping around their story, claiming they had an affair, and offering to sell the details according to RadarOnline.com. According to Cougar, the two have been dating for weeks and have a video of them sharing a picnic together, which does not really prove anything. For $30,000 they will also provide ‘juicy details’ about their relationship.  Now according to TMZ, Heidi has lawyered up picking Jodeane Farrell to handle her divorce and she’s already taking steps to get the quickest divorce possible in California. Farrell, who is a friend of the Montag family, has practiced family law for 24 years and currently handles divorce mediations. Farrell plans to meet with Heidi and Spencer together in two weeks, and if he’s on board she’ll schedule a meeting with their accountant to go over assets and liabilities, hash out a property settlement privately, wait the six months required by California law, and end their marriage.  Until they are officially divorced I will still have my doubts that this isn’t another one of their schemes but this latest development has me wondering a bit.
