Chris Klein Heading For Rehab After Latest DUI

[HMG] – Invoking the usual celebrity legal tactic after his second DUI American Pie actor, Chris Klein is reportedly heading off to rehab, after his latest arrest in California on suspicion of driving while drunk.  Klein is voluntarily checking into a 30-day alcohol addiction program at the Cirque Lodge in Utah, where actresses Eva Mendes and Mary Kate Olsen have been treated.  Last week California Highway Patrol officer stopped Chris at 3.13am in the morning on the 101 Freeway near Sherman Oaks, where the police report says he was;

“Observed weaving from the #3 lane into the #2 and #4 lane, westbound at Woodman Ave.”

Chris then failed a field sobriety test, so the 31-year old actor was arrested and transported to the local P.D.  Chris was arrested in 2005 for the same reasons, and was eventually convicted of DUI. If he’s convicted this time, California law means he must spend at least four days in jail.  Reports say Chris’s blood-alcohol level was almost three times the legal limit of ‘.08′ this time.

“After recent events, Chris was forced to take a clear look at a problem he has been trying to deal with himself for years,” his rep tells Us Magazine. “He understands now that he can not beat this disease alone. He thanks everyone for their support as he takes all the necessary steps to deal with his addiction and asks for privacy while doing so.”
