Perez Hilton Not Remorseful About Posting Miley Cyrus Photo
(HMG) – The sad thing about this situation is his latest unconscionable act is just giving him more publicity. Perez Hilton appeared on The Joy Behar Show Thursday night to share his side of the story in releasing an upskirt photo of underage teen star Miley Cyrus on his voraciously popular blog. Perez defended his actions and even asserted that he would post the photo again “if the photo agency let me, I would, because it’s not showing anything wrong or inappropriate.” Funny how he as quickly scrubbed the photo from his site, when even his loyal readers were outraged.
He asserts that he did not Photoshop or pixelate the photo (wonder who did then?), and says that he shared the picture simply because it shows her “getting out of the car in an unladylike fashion. She’s been in the business for a long time and she’s aware that there are paparazzi around. She should be careful about how she exits a car.” It’s kind of funny to see Perez take this ‘moral police’ stance for why he decided to release this photo, to what teach Miley a lesson?  When Behar asked if Hilton was scared, he responded: “No, I’m not scared at all.” Hilton claims that “It’s not actually doing anything worse than Miley herself has been doing recently, from grinding up on her fortysomething year old director to pole dancing to all the oversexualized things that she has been doing and turning herself into this creature.” Behar challenged him: “That doesn’t make it right.”  Unfortunately it was reported Thursday that Miley and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, are not interested in pressing charges and reliving the infamous photo. Miley told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, “That’s some idiot being an idiot.” An FBI rep told E! Online there’s no pending investigation into the incident. But ABC and TV Land have both yanked ads from Hilton’s website. And other advertisers might follow suit.
